Frequently Asked Questions
We can't wait to see you in Union Square Park this summer. If you can't find the answer to your question below, please fill out the contact form located on the bottom of the page.
General
Do I need to sign up to attend?
All programs are free and no advance sign-up is required for individual attendees.
What happens when it rains?
As long as safety is not an issue, programs will proceed as planned. All weather-related updates will be posted on Twitter and Instagram @UnionSquareNY.
Large Groups
Can I bring my large group (10+) to participate in kid’s programming?
For large groups, please use the submission form below to contact the USP office for guidelines for attending. We ask that you keep groups to less than 20 children to provide enjoyment and safety for all attendees. Large groups that cause major disruptions during the programming, or are not properly monitored by their caregivers, may be asked to exit the program.
Kids Program
Can I drop off my child?
Summer in the Square is not a drop-off program. Children must be monitored by their caregivers at all times.
Are strollers allowed at programs?
Strollers are not allowed in the Children’s Pavilion from 9 AM to 6 PM or in front of the main stage during the 11 AM performances. Please park all strollers in the Stroller Parking area. USP and NYC Parks are not responsible for any lost items.
